Ares, pseudonimo di Ronny Hovland (Bergen, 3 giugno 1973), è un polistrumentista norvegese.
È il fondatore del gruppo death/black metal Aeternus, oltre che ex componente dei Gorgoroth e ex tour member di gruppi come Immortal e Grimfist.
